Not enough is a phrase many of us hear in our own heads long before anyone says it out loud. Maybe you feel not enough because of how you look, how well you perform, what you post, what you regret, or how many times you have failed in the same area again.

Shame often says, “I am bad.” Guilt says, “I did something wrong.” That difference matters, because if shame becomes your identity, it can make you hide from God, push away people who love you, and believe your sin gets the final word over your life.
But the Bible gives a deeper answer. You are created by God in his image. You are also a sinner who cannot fix your own sin problem. And if you are trusting Jesus, you are in Christ, made new, loved, forgiven, and given a new identity that shame cannot erase.
