00 – INTRO
18 – EVANGELISM: proclaiming the “good news” (“gospel”) of Jesus Christ to a non-Christian (Matt. 28:18-20). THE GOSPEL: 1. SIN, 2. GOD, 3. JESUS’ DEATH, 4. JESUS’ RESURRECTION, 5. SALVATION, 6. FAITH
11 – 1. SIN, ROMANS 3:23 – “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Rom. 6:23. Death = spiritual, physical, eternal separation from God. Rom. 3:20.
37 – 2. GOD – hates sin, loves us. Exhibited his love in Jesus (John 3:16).
38 – 3. JESUS’ DEATH – sacrifices himself in our place (Rom. 5:8). 2 Cor. 5:21 – “the great exchange.”
10 – 4. JESUS’ RESURRECTION – proved he is God and the Father accepted his sacrifice (Rom. 1, 4). 5. SALVATION – “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). GRACE: freely offered something that we didn’t earn or deserve (a gift) (Eph. 2:8-9).
18 – 6. FAITH – REPENT: a U-turn, 180-degree change of direction. FAITH: trust in Jesus alone (Rom. 10:13).
13 – SO WHAT?
49 – WHAT’S YOUR NEXT STEP? MEMORIZE THE GOSPEL. Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
